The Application of Life Data Analysis During the Software Testing Process

Measurement has been the basis of all science and engineering processes except for software. In almost 50 years, there exist only a limited number of metrics and models to define the factors of productivity or quality of software (QoS). Software generally has made significant progress without measurement but maybe it is possible to use Life Data Analysis (LDA) in the software testing process (STP).

This presentation shows how it is possible to use LDA in STP. The outcomes from a testing process allow the analyst to define the parameters by using Weibull Analysis. Management of this parameter makes it possible to improve the STP, control the quality and manage the risk.
